How to do White Embossing Resist.

Hello everyone, today i am going to share how i do white embossing resist. i use this when i want to make something to stand out or just for something a little bit different.

What you will need is:
VersaMark

Embossing powder

Anti static pad (i call this a puff pad)

Stamps

Heat gun

                                                                     a fluffy brush

And Water Paint

First what you want to do is, on a piece of watercolour paper use the puff pad and dab it all over the paper or where you want the versamark stamp. Then cover the stamp that you want to use with versamark, then place the stamp on a piece of water colour paper and press evenly to make the stamp impression on the paper even.

Next with the white embossing powder, sprinkle over the top of the impression the stamp its ok if you tip the whole container. Now with the excess powder either using a funnel or a folded piece of paper tap the loose powder off and return it to the container.

Now using the fluffy brush, use it to sweep away any excess powder that has stuck to the page, or any of the of the powder that came out of the staic pad.

Now with the heat gun, turn on and hold over the embossing powder until the powder becomes a shiny liquid looking image, and let it cool.

with your fluffy brush  brush the page again just to insure that all the powder is removed from the page.

choose your water paint colour and with a wet brush gently rub over the embossed image and you will see your resist.

And your done. Awesome work.

Previous Things I have Made

Hello Everyone, thanks for taking the time for reading. So i thought i would make a small blog on previous item i have made. Remember if you have any questions about any of these things please leave a comment and i will help you out.

In other news i have started a Instagram page and Facebook page, and shortly i will have a YouTube channel also. Its all happening in the Anxiety Creations world. lol

Ok so let get this show and tell on the road. After each picture i will leave a small description on how i made it.

This is an art journal page of mine, i used acrylic paint watered down, then when that was dry i used black card stock and used white gel pens for the writing.

This one is hanging up near my desk (its one of my favourites) i drew this on water paint paper then used my Tombow brush tip pens for the colour. as i said in my last blog Tombow markers are water based so blending the colours are awesome.

This is a little book i made, its about 7 cm long and about 5 cm wide with a 1 cm spine. inside it is water paint pages cut to fit and and sown in.

This is a wall hanging i made for my dad, again on water paint paper. Then i hand wrote the words on the paper and the old school Holden logo and the painted the logo with red acrylic paint. once when everything is dry i stained the paper with tea bag and used brown ink to darken some areas.

This one is made for my husbands "man cave". the same way i made the one above.

This one is another art journal page. With this one I started with a blank page and use old pages i pulled out of a book (that i am turning in to a journal) and glued them down then use acrylic paint in different shades to make the ombre' affect. then i used black acrylic paint to colour the silhouette.

This one i made for my daughters best friends birthday. i am very happy with the way this one came out. so this one was made on a black piece of craft paper and them i mix the aqua colours and well you cant really see it in the picture but the some letters in "awesome" are lighter blue.

This is my most current page in my art journal, there is not much to say except i am so in love with the way this one turned out.

So that is all from me for now i have a post poll on the Anxiety Creations Facebook page to see what everyone would like to learn. I have a feeling that i know what the results will be haha.

please if you would like to join in on the fun will post polls every Thursday. and once i get to 1000 likes on the Facebook page i will doing a giveaway of one of my wall hangings.

Have a awesome day and remember, Stay Creative.

Welcome to Anxiety Creations.

Hi there, Welcome to Anxiety Creations. I make custom signs and sell them.
I also would like to teach people on how to start their own art journal or walls hangings or really anything that is creative.

No i am not a extremely skilled artist and neither do you have to be all you need is that have a creative thought and a piece of paper and you away.

Your probably wondering why Anxiety Creations? well here is a little bit about me.

My name is Kerrie and i have a wonderful husband (married for ten years this year 2018) and a beautiful 11 year old daughter. All my life i have suffered from chronic depression and anxiety and a few other mental issues. Just before my daughter was born i was exposed to scrap booking and i did that for a long time, in the first 6 months of my daughters life i filled a very large scrapbook with lots of photos of her haha. Then i found colouring in for adults, this helped with my anxiety and depression it was a way to escape my head. It was only last year (2017) i found this wonderful thing called Art Journaling,

I find for me, Art Journaling is a way to have no rules, you have a blank piece of paper and you can make anything you want. you can make it more into a journal then add picture, and if a blank page worries you then you can also use a old book and make that into your journal.

When i first started, i did alot of research and was overwhelmed with the cost of products, and i thought there has to be a way of getting my moneys worth. Don't get me wrong i have bought some expensive things (much to my husband disapproval haha). For example; Tombow Brush Pens

Click this link to go to the Tombow USA website

WOW i love my Tombow Brush Pens, they are water based marker. Yes they are costly but not to bad. I live in Australia and i can get one marker for $5.95 or i can get a pack of 10 for around the $30 mark.

I also make my own alcohol sprays, i will post a video later to show how its done. i also make ones made from water paints as well.
I make heaps of diffrent things, i like seeing something and asking myself how do they make that? haha i will post a few pictures of things i have made on my Pinterest page, Link below.

So i have held your attention for a while now, stay tuned and i will post another soon. Thanks for reading and remember, Stay Creative <3
